we have the same test,s as well,dave m,we test phases why,ll there not connect to supply,with the main switch turned off,aswell as turned on and we test the neutral to insure that it is the nuetral,and after that we do a polarity test to make sure then fill out a commissoning form,all this takes time but oh well we get pay,ed by the hour,and we leave the work site happy knowing we have left our work in a safe condition. :D

I agree, paid by the hr, but just seems strange that we are not required to test after the connection is made, only before (although I do an inependant earth test afterwards too, even if our policy does not require it)

That seems strange,Always have and will test before and after.
Is't that what the blue book says??
How can you prove if you do not test?
