Current state of NZ.

Current state of NZ.

So what's the current state of NZ. From an outsiders perspective it seems to have a struggling economy due to the fairly high egress of youngsters seeking the glitz, glamour and cash of established countries.

One gets the impression that house prices are artificially high, wages are low in respect to the cost of living and the amount of the existing populace able or willing to do technical work is low.

I should add that I'm not being sarcastic. It would be interesting to know what NZ residents think of their home country.

Wages are low by comparrison to Australia ,USA etc but not so much the UK from what my mates workin there say. House prices are high but it is a great place to live so what do ya do? Our economy is apparantly good ?but doesnt feel it to the average guy.Wages for linemen have jumped huge amounts compared to 4 years ago but is controlled from well above me,could still be alot better.

I guess I must apologise, as I meant the industry in Auckland in general and not the rest of the country.
