Songwriter Warren Wilken knew all about the dangers his father’s work as a lineman for Dawson Public Power entailed.
The Kearney native wrote a song, “Fire in the Wire,” in honor of his father, Walter Wilken, and all linemen who work to keep the lights on.
Walter died June 11 in Ravenna at age 95.
